Automated Weight Verification
100% Error Fee Orders!

As cartons enter the beginning of the automated verification process on the 24 volt zone accumulation conveyor, they stage in zones before the in motion scale. This guarantees a rapid and orderly process and insures that two cartons are never on the scale at the same time.

The zone immediately before the CASI-950 In Motion Scale inducts in motion scalecartons onto the scale once the current carton fully exits the zone. A Data Logic fixed position barcode scanner reads the pick label applied earlier in the process identifying the carton for SolidShip™ This information is used to process the label based upon the information obtained by the system from our customers' Warehouse Management System (WMS) be it a DPS warehouse management system or another vendors.

As the carton exits the scale, divert-sortation-systemthe label data is prepared and sent to the Printer Label Applicator and the label is automatically applied to the carton. Barcode readability and label placement is ensured by using a fixed position scanner to read the carrier barcode.  The benefit of the in motion scale process is that the system can perform a check weigh on the cartons using the check weigh feature embedded in the system against the "picked" data coming from a pick to light system or other automated system directed picking and order fulfillment process.

Exception Process
Some cartons cannot be manifested automatically due to an error or special handling conditions. These cartons can be diverted to an exception station where an operator can manually process them.  New designs have erred cartons sent back to the picker with correction detail available to the pick to light and/or on a paper fix-ticket printout.

All control is from the rugged CASI 1100 industrial PC based system controller. The CASI 1100 offers redundant hard drives , a 17 inch high resolution 1280 X 1024 Human Machine Interface (HMI) and the programming flexibility of a Windows XP product using SQL based database implementation.

Support options include remote real time diagnostics, plus cell phone alerts.
