REQUIREMENT
Light directed picking systems (product BIN locations with displays that indicate what product to pick and how many pieces to fulfill order) are indicated for generally less-than-case (broken case) item selections (split case fulfillment - Material Handling Institute @ Charlotte, NC ).  Using light directed picking reduces picking time about 38% versus pick from paper invoices.  Accuracy is dramatically improved often times up to 98-99%!  Pick to light with pick item verification technology virtually eliminates every error (see BOSS VIP - Basic Order Selection System with Verified Item Picked benefits data).
