CODE 360 O/R FORMULA UPDATE/ADD
Code 360 holds title order regulation information needed to calculate a new base (average sale) when a title is distributed.  Each title can be assigned a formula number to be used for distribution.  The formula file maybe "flagged" to use Sale Trend: the standard deviation of a title with selected retailer(s).

If no formula number is assigned, the DPS system will use one of the standard distribution formula (numbers 1 - 8) assigned by the DPS system based on the frequency of the title.  Number 9 through 9999 can be used for defining order regulation formulas for specialized agency and supplier (National Distributor or Publisher) requirements.

Many options regulate distribution, including initial and subsequent distributions to designate appropriate number of copies for a sale period, not just initial delivery, particularly with retail accounts with limited space, but proven sale over the on-sale period.

Tile distribution can be regulated not only with the last few issues, but if history is kept, the DPS system can consider year one and year two back.
