Automated
Weight Verification
100% Error Fee Orders!
As cartons enter the beginning of the automated verification
process on the 24 volt zone accumulation conveyor, they
stage in zones before the in motion scale. This guarantees a
rapid and orderly process and insures that two cartons are
never on the scale at the same time.
The zone immediately
before the exclusive 24Vdc metered scale
inducts cartons onto the scale once the current carton fully
exits the zone.
A Data Logic fixed
position barcode
scanner reads the pick label applied earlier in the process
identifying the carton for
iWEIGH
PERFECT process.
This
information is used to process the label based upon the
information obtained by the system from our customers' Warehouse
Management System (WMS) be it a DPS warehouse management system
or another vendors.
As the carton exits the scale, the label data
is prepared and sent to the Printer Label Applicator and the
label is automatically applied to the carton. Barcode
readability and label placement is ensured by using a fixed
position scanner to read the carrier barcode. The
benefit of the in motion scale process is that the system can
perform a
check weigh
on the cartons using the check weigh feature embedded in the
system against the "picked" data coming from a pick to light
system or other automated system directed picking and order
fulfillment process.
Exception Process
Some
cartons cannot be manifested automatically due to an error
or special handling conditions. These cartons can be
diverted to an exception station where an operator can
manually process them. New designs have erred cartons
sent back to the picker with correction detail available to
the pick to light and/or on a paper fix-ticket printout.
All
control is from the rugged industrial server
(Windows7 / XP Linux or IBM pSeries AIX) based
system controller. The iPICK server offers redundant hard drives , using
low
24 volt energy consumption 115/120 single phase electric requirement
which
lower overall electrical operational cost up to 66% compared to typical
three phase 480/240 volt installations! Our large screen Human Machine Interface (HMI) and the
programming flexibility operating across standard server database implementations
for easy integration to virtually all HOST systems.
iPICK PERFECT
low cost, low maintenance, low energy use
yields high rate of return of investment!
